Need help rooting Lg Lucid

I'm new to this so i'm kind of clueless, but I've followed every guide I could find from binary, to lg spectrum, and yet I still can't root my phone.

Every time i get into the root process, i'm told that no such file directory exists.
If that doesn't pop up, i'm told ACCESS DENIED or PERMISSION DENIED when the program tries to make the correct files.

I'm in debug mode, through a USB. I checked the box to allow non-market installations. no firewalls.

Well i followed all the instructions multiple times and i'm still getting, permission denied, failed to copy and no such file/ pathway!
