Root Need help rooting

ive gotten as far as unlocking my phone but i cant seem to get my phone to read the img in hboot when i put it on my sd card. ive tryed multiple ph44img.zip files if found around different threads but none will read. also have tried htc super tool and it kept telling me my adb was out of date, so i found a abd fix in adk that made the abd in htc sync and adk the same version.

any advice???

Is the adb issue still coming up? Or is this now an HBOOT issue?

you have installed the cwm or twrp?
