Help Need help to restore Nexus 7

My tablet when turned on won't do anything. Just gives me a little box in the middle of the screen with a + in it. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to factory refresh and actually don't know how to do that. TIA

What caused it? If its just out of the blue it may be hardware related. But if its a software problem and it won't do anything you only choice is fast boot flashing a factory image. You can try wugfresh nexus root took it if you don't know how to use fastboot.
