Need help with an error

This just started happening today every time i try to make a call or random other times i get an error saying the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly and makes me force quit. It also appears I am losing service for brief periods of time when this happens, can someone help me out with this problem, thanks!

Welcome to the forums, dietdrownd.

I've taken your question out of the Computer forum and placed it in Android Lounge for now, not knowing yet your device make and model (Desire? Fascinate? Droid 2?..etc).

That error is most commonly remedied by going into menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > sort by "all," then finding the Gmail app on the list and clicking it to clear cache and data, then reboot your device.

You'll have to reconfigure Gmail, of course.

Also, have you tried a battery pull?
