Need help with email

Help! Have a new Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. I have installed my email account. Now, I can get my email with just a click of a button. That's convenient, BUT that makes me nervous if I should lose my phone. I would rather have to enter a password (my yahoo password) before I check email. Is there any way to get the phone to ask for a password before connecting to my email account???

I don't believe there is any email app that has password protection. The answer for you is to have your phone password protected lock

That's what I was afraid of. But that seems like a lot of trouble, as it seems one is turning the phone on and off all the time. In that case I would like to get rid of the email altogether. But I don't even know how to remove it. ??? Thanks for the reply.

I double check the mail app that I use "MailDroid" and it does have an option for password protection so you might want to try it.

I did a search in the Play Store for password protect email apps and maildroid was the only one to come up on the first page.

Thanks to both of you. I'll check out MailDroid (just as soon as I figure out how to download apps!!). As you can tell, I'm a newbie to smart phones--but learning more all the time.
