Root Need help with enviroment vairables

i need to reset the path in enviroments variable. you know when we had to edit the path when installing adb shell on our comp????? how do i go back to the default path. because cmd won't recognize "ipconfig" as an external or internal command. i am on windows 7 please help thanks
