Help Need help with getting Keepass to Work Again

First of all, I am new to this forum, but not to forums. I have been trying for about the past two weeks to resolve a problem I am having with the Keepass App on my Droid X. It started with photo problems that prompted me to format my SD card. That fixed the photo problem, but erased my data, which had all of my passwords on Keepass. I can deal with losing the data, but now my phone keeps telling me that my database format is not recognized. It keeps telling me this even after uninstalling and reinstalling. My KeePass database filename is: /mnt/sdcard/keepass/keepass.kdb I have tried the KeePass forum, but no one seems to want to tackle my problem. I really liked the app and would like to be able to use it again, but... I am pulling my hair out and feel that the fix is probably easier than I am imagining, but I don't know what elase to do or where else to go. If this doesn't work, I suppose I can go to Verizon and let them play with it, but I don't know if that is even something they would mess with.

Thanks for anyone who dares to help me!
Ann

I use KP extensively, and have for a long time now.

How did you create the new database?

Also, even though you're on a DX, I'll leave this thread here b/c I don't visit the DX forums, but I do come here a lot....

I don't know how I created a new database. After I wiped the sd card clean, I tried to log back into KeePass and it kept giving me the same message. I figured the sd card had removed my password to KP, too, so I thought I would uninstall the program and reinstall so that I could give it a brand new password and start putting data in. Even after all of that, it came up with the database on its own. What was the original database? What should it say? It won't let me create anything either. It I type in the correct database at the top, will that help anything? Evidently uninstalling it did not remove all of the data. There must be something somewhere keeping me from getting a clean install. That is all I can figure out. I wish I knew more about it, but I don't. I just know that I would really like to get the app functional again. Would it help to install it on my laptop and copy that database? I am grasping at straws here.

Thanks anyway,
Ann

You gave me the idea of going into the data files. I found one on the sd card that said something about .kdb, so I deleted it. Voila! I was allowed to put in a new password and am now able to get into KeePass. I am so happy and so grateful to you! Thanks you very much!
