Need help with messaging problem

Ok...so i have the sony ericsson xperia x10. I got a text message, and i read it and deleted it. But it still says that i have that message in the notifications window and the green light is blinking and all that. When i click on the message it just goes to compose a message. Its so annoying and i need to know how to make it go away. help!

Are you still having the problem?

I would have suggested to just take the battery out and put it back in, turn the phone back on again.. Let me know
