Help Need help with MMS

Hey guy I can't receive MMS properly. I would get the mms from friends and it would appear as individual messages. I have tried some app but they would either send out 5 messages at the same time and when my friends reply i would get 5 messages at once.

For example.
You:Hi
You:Hi
You:Hi
You:Hi

I have the Android galaxy note 1
my service provider is att.

Hmm try to go to settings apps or app manager go to all press the menu button and press reset app preferences
