need help with my htc m7

What rom are you flashing? Did you try a newer recovery version? 2.6 is very old.... Is Linux the only OS you have or are you dual booting?
 
I forget exactly what the rom is. I have it relabeled crdroid. I was many links deep when I found it.

I havent tried a newer recovery. I was making sure you didnt need any kind of output first. Ill try a newer TWRP.

Yes, Linux is my only OS. I could maybe get a friend to bring a laptop over but Id only have a few hours with it.

Linux is OK, but in your situation it would be way easier to bring your device back to functional using Windows. I do have experience with Windows, Linux and MAC but most things are Windows based as far as a simple repair.

Your current recovery would probably not flash a rom with a newer OS version as that version of TWRP was used for 4.4.2 and lower if i remember correctly.
 
Got it working!! Thanks a lot! I just had to update TWRP, adb push cm and gapps over and flash them. All seems to be in order so far!

Thanks again to both of you. I learned a lot.
