Need help with my HTC Sensation XE

Hello,Im new here and I've been using HTC Sensation XE for 2 months now. My phone had been rooted and Im using the Insertcoin 5.1.7. Which means my phone is using ICS and Sense 3.6. But,since the official ICS had been released from HTC,I would love to use the official ICS rather than the Custom ROM. So,here are my questions:

1. Why cant I update it to official ICS? It said that my phone is updated.
2. Is there any way for me to unflash the ROM I've used so that I could update it officially?
3. Can my phone be restored its warranty?

Please and thank you for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forums - thanks for joining!

1. You can't update to official ICS, as your phone will have a custom recovery (which allowed you to put a custom ROM on your phone), not the stock one.
2. Yes - there is a way to flash your phone back to stock, so you can get OTA updates (by running the correct RUU for your device).
3. By rooting, you void your warranty, by flashing an RUU, you can put your phone back to how it was before you root (unless you have caused a software issue that does not let the RUU work) so, if you have any hardware issues, you should be OK to return for a warranty claim.

The best place for you to go is the sub-forum for your device, as others who own the same device are the best to offer help and advice - HTC Sensation XE - Android Forums (head to the All Things Root section in there to start with)!

Hope you find this place useful!!
