Need help with Popup Malware!

- unrooted
- Android Marshmellow - 6.0.1

I have been getting the pop-ups at seemingly random times. It may be from an app, but things I want to ask:

1. How do I identify where the problem is?

2. How do I protect my phone against future malware?

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

This is probably due to an app you've installed. Make a list of every app you've installed on your S6 since you noticed the popups. Starting with the most recent, start uninstalling the apps, one at a time, until the popups disappear. As soon as the popups vanish, you'll know which app caused it... and avoid re-installing it.

Thank you! I'll do that. Btw is there any equivalent to a task manager for Android so I can know what's running when the popup occurs?

Other than your recents, you might try aLogcat to generate a play-by-play readout of what's going on.
