Root Need help with QPST! Changing IP

Ok so I'm not a developer but I have a brain. Ive got admiral beast , cwm and altered my boot animation , boot sound , shutdown animation and installed Adobe flash on my admire. So please don't hate and call me a noob but, QPST vexes me. I don't want to screw anything up! I am having horrible data issues, my 3g works when it wants to but , I can't download anything from mediafire or file crop. When I get on mediafire the link keeps asking me to try again . When I try to use file crop it asks me if I'm using a dynamic ip and if so I need to change it. I have qpst v.2.7 build 327 (or something higher than 301 I'm at a bar as I type this so I can't check cause that shuts at home on my comp.) But I want to know what is my "service program code/password/, whatever and how do I change my IP from non dynamic ! If someone could post through instructions that would be amazing and I will pray your karma increases. I have qpst detecting my phone but, I can't move past that point without having that damn code. Its like the holy grail in my quest for wifi glory. If you can help me that would be amazing. I live in dallas tx and I'm going nuts figuring this out!

Don't know what you mean by changing ip, but atleast you can get into qpst.. Hope this helps..

Every time I click the meid finder link and follow the sites instructions it says I have entered too many characters. All I'm doing is clicking the link. Why dies my phone have thus IP issue? I haven't changed anything to my knowledge . My phone is refurbished I think so maybe the prior user changed their ip
 
Are you using the dec numberset? And compare the number between what it is in setting to what it is on the sticker behind the battery.. If its refurbished, it mightve been incorrectly programmed, depending on how much refurbishing" they actually did..
 
Thanks everyone for your help. I resolved the issue . I entered my meid and got the spc code and was able to program easily from there. I mistakenly assumed by clicking the button on the meid website that it would generate a number by reading my phones signal (drunk programming isn't my forte) issue resolved. I was able to watch Ultramarines on youtube without being on wifi , and without any lagging. This forum rules.
 
I would not worry much about being judged here. Everyone has a different level of expertise here. Some have alot and some have next to none. But in the end everyone seems to be willing to help everyone else out so long as respect is given.

I am new to the forums myself and have received nothing but help from these folks. It is great to be in a forum without the usual idiot, know-it-all, griefer or just plain obnoxoius troll that plagues other forums.
