Root Need help with root

ok i have Samsung Galaxy express i437 and i am running 4.1.2 jelly bean and i need help on rooting my device.

please dont give me any smart remarks i have googled and searched found nothing

Since no one else has jumped in I'll give it a try. It depends on which version of 4.1.2 you're on. The one before 07/31 is easy, search around for motochopper.zip.

If you're on the 07/31 update then it becomes more difficult. You have to install a custom recovery like OUDHS Clockwork Mod and flash a version of su.zip or SuperSU.zip.

The "Kernal version", under "About device", shows a date of 7/10 and version 3.0.31-1304269. "Android version" shows 4.1.2 with no date.

Sorry I can't help you out on this one, I'm using a Note 2 right now, and my Express is on loan at the moment. I don't remember the version numbers off hand, but I rooted mine using Shabbypenguin's thread in the All Things Root sub-forum.
