Root Need help with rooting

I'm new and need some help!!!
Hi I'm new to the android phones, I have a at t fusion 2. And I wont to root it because I don't have much room for apps, there are a lot of them I will never use. I have been trying to download a couple of root programs and I can't get any of them. If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry for the necrobump, but I was also having this problem. I'm guessing 2 months later, you probably found out how to root, but here is a link I found on how to root.
