Here is my problem:
Recently i did have the problem where my screen would sporadically push random buttons and spots on the screen , and i deduced that due to moisture in the air (i live in hawaii) the tracking was being messed up. I had to battery pull and dry out the phone over night. It still bugs out periodically through the day, and i have to sleep the screen and turn it back on to reset the tracking. This problem i have learned to bear with, but this next one just bothers me so much.
AFTER, this problem was solved, my long press has stopped working. I can long press things, and the screen does that short vibrate thing (as if it has acknowledged that i have long pressed something, but no further action is taken. EXAMPLE: On the home screen, with icons and widgets, if i long press them, i dont get the editing options, AND i cant drag and drop. i also cant drag app from my drawer to home screen. anything requiring a long press does not work. But like i said, the phone recognizes that i am indeed long pressing. Any ideas?
NOTE: in a thread somewhere else, i did read of a similar issue, and it was said to have been caused by a new version of swype. dont know if thats a factor, but i only have the built in version of swype that came with the rom i am running (Liberty v1.5)
