Need help with several problems

Problem with android galaxy-s t959 samsung. root
1. market will not download. It brings up the market and I can search it but nothing can be downloaded.
2. in settings voice call ringtones and notifications ringtones ring tones are set to silent and no other options are available. It seems they do not see the ringtone files anymore.
3. I installed ringdroid, Which was downloaded with my pc today when I attempt to open the file I get an error message :the apk ringdroid (process com.ringdroid has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Same results each attempt
4. Installed titanium backup worked fine even downloaded busybox without a problem.
5. can my phone be partially bricked?
6. If you give me help I need detailed instructions as this is my first smartphone and just learning all possible options out there. Not a geek by a longshot.
 
Are you going off the stock rom with SU permissions, or have you flashed a custom ROM?

It almost sounds like a bad flash or one that didn't have a full wipe done beforehand.
 
There are applications that work sporadically and some that for some reason get the forced close routine. That does not mean your device is broken, just the application may not work under your setup.
