Root Need help with the Memory Hack!

I did the Odin / CWN method of rooting and modding my Prevail, and I created a 2gig EXT4 partition - but that part was cryptic (to me). I used the post here:

Odin Root for Samsung Galaxy Prevail with CWM with flash - Android Area51

Which references a lot of posts in this forum. My phone works a lot better now, but I still don't see a larger memory space (it still say 167mb) - shouldn't it report 2048mb? I still get low memory warnings, I manually move apps and reboot to clear those. I just feel that there is something missing here - something else I need to do so that the phone reports 2048mb of memory. It DOES report my sd card space with the missing 2gigs subtracted - but there doesn't seem to be that extra memory space.

Can someone enlighten me on how to correct it, and how to check it to make sure it's right? Thanks!

you need a rom that runs ext4 , stock does not so it won't use ext4. halfass rom (which is basically stock with ext4), ctmod, cm7,ect.

Thanks for all our help. I found a solution yesterday - since CWM automatically recognizes a properly prepared partition (SD-ext) all i had to do was go back into the CWM Recovery interface and have it partition the card. I'm a VERY heavy app experimenter so I chose a 4gig partition. The reason why I was scratching my head over this is because I could have sworn I already made a partition, but apparently not.

After I made the partition and rebooted everything is working like it should, with the 4 gigs reported as memory and the rest as space. The only thing was I had the apps, widgets, etc. set up perfectly and now I have o do all that again - but that's just a minor annoyance. I can't remember what website I used but it was a blog named Yada-something...

Thanks again.
