Root need help with wifi

If i root can i somehow get around the built-in hotspot it turns on when i use foxfi

Also what is the difference with the built-in hotspot and foxfi i payed metro for hotspot and eveything works great but with foxfi even though it says its going 20mbs is laggy like netflix on tv with built-in hotspot all the covers load and plays in super hd and foxfi wont load covers but plays seams like something is blocking

Do a speed test with the official speedtest.net app by ookla before you believe any other apps. Also, metro's data speeds are sketchy at the least. You could get 15mbps at one time and then get .15mbps at another. Make sure you're not using data for anything else atm. Which data plan are you using for Metro? 500m, 2.5g, or inf? You might be throttled

60 dollar plan and i always run the speedtest.net app and im in great coverage
But like say with the ps3 foxfi wont update games or any apps but the built-in hotspot will. And also with the built-in hotspot its only 2.5g limit so when thats gone foxfi wont work

Tryed different apps for wifi but all turn on the built-in and it wont work crazy just switched from lg motion and that worked fine with foxfi laggy but was getting 40mbs on that phone and this one tops at 20mbs

Just trying to see if root will or can disable built-in hotspot so foxfi will work

Afaik, the only quick and easy way to tether would be with CyanogenMod. However we don't have a CM ROM as of yet...

Even in the system apps the hotspot is not their and cant find it any reason why its invisible
