OK. Access point names still doesn't show up. I don't know if i've got the right APN settings.

God... I hate U.S. carrier minority variant models!

It sounds like Boost/Sprint/Verizon have locked their APN settings. The modem does not get changed from stock when flashing CM ROM. What I am going to suggest is for competent experienced users. First, make a nandroid backup, (mirror image), of your phone in your custom recovery and save it on your external SD card and/or PC. This is your get out of jail card... hopefully!

Next, follow the steps in this video, to allow access to your APN settings...

I downloaded the firmware from sammobile. Can I just flash it through recovery? What will happen when I flash it? Will it un root my phone? What will it do?

OK, I followed the steps in the video again and it worked, but, it still won't let me edit access point names; it says they're unavailable for this user.

On first boot, the phone needs to compile all the apps for the run-time environment. On some phones this can easily take 10 or 15 minutes which makes it appear to be 'stuck'. We usually recommend people wait 30 minutes before panicking. :)

i feel stupid for this but i can't figure out how to root my phone again. i tried flashing cf autoroot with odin but it says this eror message on my phone "custom binary(recovery) blocked by R/L

What version of Android did you end up flashing? Root methods for your phone will be different and if you were on a different version when you first rooted, you might need a different method.

To root your phone using chainfire's, CF-Auto-Root kernel, see...

[SM-G900*] CF-Auto-Root

This kernel is for the G900P model on Android 6.0.1... CF-Auto-Root-kltespr-kltespr-smg900p.zip

If the phone does not boot after flashing, pull the battery and re-insert and then boot into Recovery Mode and wipe the phone's cache partition as per #1.3 of S5 Update Problems - Dummies Guide.

To flash the TWRP custom recovery, just download the TWRP klte version and flash it via Odin as per the instructions in the link.
