Need help

Ok...so i have the sony ericsson xperia x10. I got a text message, and i read it and deleted it. But it still says that i have that message in the notifications window and the green light is blinking and all that. When i click on the message it just goes to compose a message. Its so annoying and i need to know how to make it go away. help!

When you pull down the notification bar is there a button displayed to clear notifications? If so press it and it should clear your SMS notification.
