Need help...

Can someone tell me how to get the refresh to go away on the top of my screen (a circle with 2 arrows following each other) ...something must be running and i have no idea what but I never had it there unless i was retrieving emails- so i obvioulsy was playing and did something...the help desk wants me to to a hard re-set...i don't want to...any ideas???
 
That means something is syncing. Go to menu-settings-accounts and sync, and look at everything, and uncheck anything you dont need syncing, and check the sync times for things you do. Most phones are set out of the box to sync news, weather and stocks every hour out of the box. I never have a use for those, so i turn them off.
 
That's the icon for account sync. Some people have had this same problem with sync'ing with facebook accounts, but can't say for sure if thats the problem.

Go to settings>accounts & sync turn off auto sync, open each account listed and turn off all sync'ing options and reboot the phone, see if that makes the icon go away. If it does, then open each account and turn on the sync options one by one. If the the problem recurs, note which option causes the issue. If it doesn't recur, you should be good.
 
Thanks guys...So all i have is 3 things on there (oovoo, gmail, and you tube)and all say Sync is off...auto syn was already unchecked... I went and signed OUT of Utube...and rebooted again ... icon still there :(
 
Ok guys I got it...I uninstalled OOVOO.com...the running Synch circle went away....I wonder why all of a sudden this happened when had not even used it recently.....
