Listing the maker/model of the unit might help. Also tell what steps you have taken.
Normally firmware update or restore takes minutes not an hour or more. If it hasn't finished by now I would try a reset and retry but you might want to post the other info first in case someone familiar with your unit has information for you.

I have a Android kernel MID 2.2 os. I have been trying to download apps for it and nothing is working. I am hooked up to internet and i keep getting a " it apprear that your internet connection is not available." And i have gone on different app sites and know my andriod says downloading 3 items but i can't find them...that has been going on for over 3 hours and it won't stop even when i try to force a stop. PLaese help me

I would try resetting the unit first and see if that helps. There is usually a tiny hole labeled reset and you stick an unbent paper clip in.

Hello, I bought 2 mid-m7095 for christmas, like to get them up and running first..
set up the google account, i can go into the market app and start to download,
and that's it, it's always unsuccessful.. all excited to get the set up for my grandchildren
and I'm ready to send them back. I have an Archos and never had this problem. please tell what i'm doing wrong

What actually happens when you try to download, does it just hang there, or does it say installation unsuccessful?
hi, i have a mid android tablet that i bought from china and my friend took a lend of it and he restored the factory settings on it. after he restored the factory settings no apps would work (browser, youtube etc.) so he restored the factory settings a few more times (that's all he said he done but i don't know if he done anything else) and now, when i turn it on a message comes up with "factory data restoring, please waiting" and nothing else happens it just stays on that screen. i also can't shut it down as when i press the power button it just turns the screen off but the tablet is still on. i also tried letting the power run down but it still shows the same screen. i looked everywhere but there is no reset button on the tablet. does anybody know how to fix this or am i best off putting it in the bin. thanks for any help in advance.
