need help!

so i just recently transfered back to my tmobilr g2 from a nokia musicexpress and for some reason the pictures and music that was on the sd card are gone. it says its almost full but only has 10 folders andd they are all empty. i need to know what happened because i had important stuff on there. if any can figure out my problem or help me would be much apprecieated.

Did you try a card reader on a computer?

Sometimes you have to reformat a card for a different phone. So plug the card into your computer, grab the files (make sure they are saved) format the card in the phone, and put the files back.
