Root Need help

Well I rooted mu Droid x last night and that worked fine. Then I tried to install a rom and thats when I had trouble. It wouldnt do it for the longest time. Then when I thought it had done it I got to the screen and it says setup wizard has stopped unexpectedly. Ive tried everything I knew to do with no success. Have I destroyed my phone?
 
If it will boot, and you can get to recovery mode, then you should be able to SBF to a base ROM and start over. What ROM were you trying to flash? Some work better if you do a complete wipe before flashing.

I don't think you can destroy your phone like that. Have you opened back into recovery, wiped data, wipe cache, advanced - wipe davlik. If you have maybe do it again. Also check the zip file of the ROM using winzip. If it unzips it is good. If not you will have to re sbf then wipe all over again, then you should be fine. As long as you are not on .621 and trying to go back. Which confuses a lot of people as well.
 
If you just rooted, then you have to find a rom that is compatible with the latest release. They locked backwards compatibility. Because they suck. But a long as you can charge, you're not bricked. You do have a backup, right? First rule of flashing is back up first.
 
Hello, just wondering could anyone please help me out in rooting my Droid X 4.5.621? Android Version 2.3.4

It would need to be going through a mac computer too!
