Need Help

[slai]

I am using a Samsung Captivate Glide I927 with Android 2.3.6 and I want to root it. But I just cannot enter the download mode, no matter how I try. Is there anyone may help me? Please, I sincerely appreciate that if there is.

* Turn phone off
* Take battery out
* Wait 2 minutes
* Put battery in
* Press volume up
* Press power and hold both until the download confirmation screen comes up.
