Root Need nv dump for vm696 ... Help!

Hello,

If anyone could connect LGNPST and unlock their NV and use QPST or another program to backup the NV of their Virgin Mobile VM696. Please remove any AAA keys or MEID info from the .txt or .xml file. I need this information to complete my transition of my LS696 to a VM696. I am mostly interested in the location of the DATA information and any pertinent MMS information in the NV that I might have missed.

I do not wish to discuss how my LS696 is now running on Virgin Mobile network and all questions related to that subject will be ignored to respect the rules of the site. I will say that I own both the LS696 and the donor VM670 with the VM ESN and the account is mine, so I am not cloning nor am I committing fraud.

On my Optimus Elite I'm currently on a rooted stock rom running VM696ZV5. I am currently connected to Virgin Mobile CDMA network at 1x. Voice and text work but not MMS or web browsing.

Once I get this information I will gladly share what the last step is to complete the swap.

EDIT:
Now I'm running Sleipnir V2.4.0.3 for Virgin Mobile.

Thanks,

I need a copy of an unlocked NV from a working Virgin Mobile VM696 as I said in the first paragraph. Heck at this point I would even consider a copy of a locked NV.

Chances are if you have to ask what an NV is you can't get it for me. I need to compare HEX values for DATA settings to get my 3G to work.

Here you go! Copied straight from my working VM696..... and that NV is unlocked, you can go straight into it. :D

You'll also need the apnconfig.XML and apns for VM for MMS/data to complete your flash. I can get you a NV when my kid gets back with the elite.

I used the APNs from my VM Optimus V, can I post it here for you to compare to your APNs? Thank you for the help, having a crippled phone is no fun. I'm also using the PRL from my OV.

Yes, I'm on ZV5 baseband. Again, thanks for the assistance. I'm going to be off the web for the remainder of the evening, but will follow up on this thread first thing in the morning. I just downlaoded the APNs you posted to compare to my OV. I'll flash yours to be on the safe side.

EDIT: Wow the apn list you provided me is vastly different than the one that goes on my old Optimus V! Your APN list is two items, my list is 1315 items. I uploaded the list from my Optimus V for your viewing pleasure. After replacing my apn-config.xml with your apn file, I'm still not connected. So even though there was a difference there it was not the critical issue. Please remember to get the unlocked NV .txt file for me to compare hex values. Thank you for making the effort to help me. I understand the phone is not always around you to make the pull from and will be patient.

As another request, can you connect DFS, QPST, or CDMA WS while unlocked and screen shot the data profiles? I believe profile0, profile1, and profile2 are populated, but profile0 is disabled. If you can do this can you send those to me with a black box over the MEID info but not the rest of the address line? I may take screen shots of what I have currently and post them here. Maybe a 2nd set of eyes can catch my mistake.

Another request, but this one may make the others obsolete.

If you dial ##DATA# (##3282#) on your dialer it should bring up the hidden Data menu. You can view these settings without the MSL.

Under Data Profile does it say (MEID)@prov.vmobl.com or (MEID)@mdata.vmobl.com

Under Browser for UaProf URL what does it list?

Under EVDO is DDTM on?

Under Device Self Service what is listed under:

DSS Server URL

DSS Proxy IP

DSS Proxy Port

DSS Operation Mode

DSS Slot 1 Enabled

I'll be posting my screen shots from DFS and QPST in a minute for comparison. I feel that if I used a stock firmware and had DSS setup I could reconfigure my 3G automatically.

I gave up and sourced another Optimus V, the Elite had poor service and the tethering issues are a headache.

I love me my OV with IHO and android system tethering.

Thanks for the offer, but I moved on because no 3G was KILLING me.

I will keep my account on this forum active and assist others if they have questions.
