Just got the S3. I cannot hear the ringer (notifications) when I am not in the room. I went to BB and got this: iHome iC3 Portable Stand, Stereo Speaker and Charging Dock for Android Tablets and Smartphones thinking I could use it as a charging dock and plug it into the speaker jack, leave the speaker on and the ringer would sound via the speaker...nope not working that way. I plug the speaker in, get the little headset icon, but while I can play music via the external speaker, the ringer (notifications) ignores the speaker. I did a search here and on the internet and a few folks talked about an app named **********. Best I can tell it does not help. Or at least I cannot figure out the correct choice of options.
So, has anyone gotten some form of external speaker to work the ringer (notifications) on the S3? Thanks
