I installed CWM today and it went in fine. Now I havent been flashing roms since my old Ascend but I was good at it then. This time I screwed up bad. I had the zip I wanted to flash, but then I stupidly formatted the sdcard when I was going through the motions and wiped it all out before I could flash it while in CWM. So to really screw things up I didn't move the backup I just created on to my computer so it's gone too. And best (or worst) of all, I then tried to reboot system after wiping everything and not flashing any zip! I know.....

So here's where I am. I can boot into CWM. I can boot into ODIN mode. I don't have a backup that will work or a CWM recovery folder to put a stock recovery into. If you have a solution or need more info any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Sorry for my noobness...

You can just put another rom, that goes with the version of cwm you have installed, and put it on your sd card and flash it.

Yeah I thought that too. So I have 5.0.2.7. My phone was just stock 2.3.4 but rooted. I've tried stock++, stock 2.3.6, and Mon53nonEXT4. nothing will take. The issue lies in this error message, I believe, when I boot into CWM. It says at the bottom...
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/co
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/lo
E:Can't open / cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/la
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/las

Is there a ROM that works with this version of CWM or do I need to address this error message first?

As it is, when I install one of the roms that I mentioned, all goes through and phone goes into boot mode. But then it just hangs on the SCH-R720 screen for ten minutes, then goes blank, and when you press the buttons the botttom keys just light up for two seconds and go off again.

I was just thinking.... Could I have lost root access when I did this to my phone? And could that be whats causing my error in CWM?

no go. I need to get the thing repartitioned correctly before it will take anything I think. nasstyrome posted this in the "help with bricked admire" thread...

u need req0's cwm, 5.0.2.8
u flashed an ext4 rom and it partitioned the phone differently, rfs partitions for 5.0.2.7, it wont see the data system or cache partitions.

flash this. and then wipe, reflash the stock rom, backup after flashing, wipe again and flash the custom rom.
reboot + ???? = PROFIT !!

However, his link is an empty drop box and I don't know what he was referring to. Any clue?

Make sure your phone is decently charge. The entire update process can take like 10 mins. And don't unplug it while it's running. You can't miss the update tool on the site. Just go to the metro lpcs admire and click the software and download link

Ok going to try the update tool first. Then the Odin thread. Will post back soon. Thanks
Ok I went ahead and did the Odin version because the Samsung update download was taking forever...

And it's alive!!! Thanks for helping you guys are awesome.

I do have the yellow triangle. Does it mean anything or just purely visual?

It just means you have a custom rom running. Some custom roms have it and others don't, but unless you plan on taking it back to metro anytime soon you don't have to worry about it.

if you ever want to get rid of that triangle youll need to use the update tool and it wont appear anymore but your binary counter will still be at 1 since you used Odin to put the phone back in working order
