Help Need some Galaxy 3 help from experts!

love the phone, have 2 issues I need help with.

1. When I take a video and play it the screen gets dim. Is there a reason for this and can I correct it somehow?

2. I have a youtube account where I upload mobile videos from my phone. I made a 1080p video, uploaded it to youtube, and the highest resolution on youtube was only 480. Am I missing a setting somewhere where I can upload a full 1080p video to youtube?

I had exactly the same problem as you with 1. I will rack my brains and come back to you on this although someone else might in the meantime. Anyway you can rest assured that it can be done. I know I spent a long time before I found the answer.

Can you guys try uploading the video through wifi also to see if the youtube app has some sort of limit on uploads with high resolution via network?

For the video you can adjust the brightness while watching a video by going to menu, settings, video brightness.

For youtube I'm not sure, does uploading on wifi help?

For #1, while playing a video, hit the menu button (soft key), scroll down to Settings, select Video Brightness, and uncheck Automatic brightness.

I remember that was the way that I was able to increase the brightness on playing video - but I cannot now seemingly access the menu while the video is playing despite the fact that was the way I went before. How did you access the menu?

Maybe the reason the Youtube upload is scaled down to 480p is to make upload times more acceptable in the same way most forums set a size limit for attachments? When I take a photo on my S2 or S3 and open it in Photoshop "Resize" says the width is 45 INCHES! That's a bigassed photo.
