So being a brave soul.................i wiped my data and installed Ginger Bread (pre-root) last night.
I want to go back to my original Darkslide.............BUT...................i am trying to flash a SBF with RSD and my phone will not boot? It boot loops but not on the moto logo but on the droid eye ??????????
RSD says it completes and passes but it still droid eye loops..........goes from the droid eye to the word droid which turns into like water then the eye returns. Have no idea what is causing this?
I have tried these files...........
VRZ_MB810_2.3.15_1FF_01.SBF
VRZ_MB810_2.3.32_1FF_01.SBF
VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.SBF
VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_SYSTEM.SBF

They all boot loop on the Droid eye except the .32 file will not work at all?

Can anyone help?

power the phone off and hold the home button and power back on. it brings you into stock moto recovery. then scroll down and wipe data and cache.

my phone had the same error
"E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command"
but it still wiped the data and cache try pulling the battery and doing it again.

You guys are awesome...............got it to boot...................need a cold beer or something.........my blood pressure is way high right now...............OMG :):)

It is scary when something does seem to work like it should. The good news is that there are enough of us here that someone usually has gone through the same thing and are more than willing to help. That is why I come back here every day because of the community on this forum, the best out there.

Some help guys... im trying to get back to the backup I made prior to putting the initial GB (non rooted).

Tried to get into stock recovery... get to triangle, but when I hit search button, nothing. Alternatives?

Goal is to get back to my backup (apex 1.4.1), thenflash to rooted gb .

You cannot restore backups through the stock recovery. And you can't install the bootstrapper on a non-rooted Gingerbread.

Use RSDlite to install the 2.3.340 full SBF, root it, install bootstrapper, then flash the rooted GB.
