Help Need some help please

Hi

I got my San Francisco just before christmas, it was unbranded and rooted (I think ) It has Eclair 2.1 installed. I have been playing around with it and I now have a couple of questions if somebody can help out.

1 It came with a blue sky type background on the initall screens, i thought this was one of the wallpapers and was trying different ones out, it now seems to have vanished, is there any way of getting it back? Not tried any customizations yet.

2 After I have charged the phone up via mains I seem to loose my 3g setting and have to switch phone off and re select, is there a way round this.

3 I have noticed in app manager some apps that i can not see on the normal screens, these are fcctest, quick office. Are these installed to use, if so where?

Is this a second hand buy? because as far as I know only Orange sell the San Francisco.

If it is second hand was everything working ok to begin with?

If it is a secound hand buy, there may be errors on the OS from anything done to it by the last owner, even if it is brand new, if it has the orange branded 2.1 Eclair you really should flash a debranded OS as it will take up space and slow down your phone.

When flashing you should keep in mind what version of the phone you are using(if its an OLED phone or an TFT one).
An OLED phone has a build number ending with "B05" and a TFT has one ending with "B08"
You shud look for one compatable for your screen.(Build number in Settings/About Phone)

Hi

Thanks for your replys, it is brand new, it has a custom rom on it, the original is backed up onto the memory card, everything is working ok. Got the charger situation working ok now that I have installed wifi fix. The apps I believe are possibly working in the background. But the screen background I cannot find in wallpapers, so not sure where it is.

I have the TFT version
