Hi all,
So yesterday one of my app crashed and decided to corrupt my sd card. The phone keeps on looping at the first screen and won't get past it. I can get into download mode (using vol down+home+power) but not into recovery. After doing some research i found out some peopel have been able to fix this by reflashing firmware. I have downloaded the firmware but have a few questions as i haven't flashed before using ODIN. Hopefully someone can answer these questions. I was running stock bell 2.2 (not 2.2.1)
1) Is there a tutorial on how to use ODIN?
2) what is a .pit file and where can i find that? I tried flashing the phone with firmware using ODIN but it said missing .pit file and flashing failed. Is it necessary to have a .pit file or am i doing something wrong?
3) i had OCLF running on this and i know we're supposed to disable all the lag fixes before flashing but i can't do that as the phone won't get past the first screen loop and i can't get into recovery. How do i go about doing this?
4) I'd eventually like to flash a custom ROM either darky's or team whiskey's.. would i need to worry about the network provider settings? ie) bell's network codes and stuff..
5) Is there a website that has a section with all the software for our phones?? Its pain in the arse trying to find software goign thru all the threads at xda
