Need some help with flash...

Hello,

I am completely new to Android, as I just got my Archos 28
internet tablet today [it is wi-fi only, not 3g].

On the manufacturer's website, it promised "flash 10", but
when I went to youtube, it wouldn't play any videos.

I search around and tried various troubleshooting procedures
I found online, but no go. I called Archos and they said that
since I have Android 2.2, it will not have flash for a while
and that there is nothing I can do about it other than use
this app to download videos [which, is space consuming...]

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

if it really has Android 2.2, go to the market and download Flash Player 10.1 - Android app on AppBrain

I tried it and it did not work...

I just checked my "firmware version" and it is "Android 2.1-update1".

Does that help at all?

Forgot to mention, this device doesn't have the "marketplace" it only has "applib".

Does that make a difference?
