HTCuser66

Lurker
I recently bought a HTC HD2 the previous owner did not tell me that this phone had been rooted. I am not familiar with this and have no idea how to use this. From my understanding this was a windows phone. I used root checker and it says this phone has no superuser files or something. Need some help any very appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forums!! :)

Sorry it took me so long to get to you. If the phone is running an android operating system, then yes it has been rooted. The HD2 is a Windows phone out of the box. You need to root the phone to switch the OS to android.

If you need info for the phone I suggest reading this thread:
http://androidforums.com/htc-leo-hd2/273125-guide-android-your-hd2-start-finish.html

This info may be slightly outdated, I'm not 100% sure since I do not have the phone myself.

A good resource for info is XDA. If you have the US version of the Leo check this forum out:
HD2 Android NAND Development - xda-developers

If you are un EU check this forum out:
HD2 Android SD Development - xda-developers

Hopefully this will help. :)
