Root Need stock backup

I would be happy to put some stock roms together for you, but i need a couple things since i do not own this device.

1. Stock cwm backup
2. Stock boot.img if it is not included in the backup
3. Testers
 
Could you please connect adb and type the following in your command prompt and press enter after each line?

adb shell
cd /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name
ls -l

Once finished, will you copy the output and paste it in pastebin or upload a text file? Thanks.

I am at work... can I do it from terminal emulator?
 
yes. if you do it from terminal emulator, skip the adb shell part and have it output to a file like this:

cd /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name
ls -l > /sdcard/hera_partitions.txt
 
Please give this a try.

hera_stock_b07_deodexed_root.zip

  1. download rom
  2. put rom on sdcard
  3. reboot to cwm
  4. make a backup
  5. wipe data/factory reset
  6. Install rom from sdcard
  7. reboot

Let me know how it works out ;)

edit: the rom is unsigned so you might have to disable signature verification in cwm

edit2: DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for bad things ;)

could be a bad download or upload. I am downloading now to compare files in order to verify the upload. If the upload is good, you should try downloading again. If you are downloading from an android browser, I believe chrome is the only one that works with this file host.

edit: most android browsers appear to work but corrupt the download somehow.

edit2: looks like the upload is good. You can also check cwm's log if you don't mind. I believe it is under advanced in the menu

edit3: The cwm log may shed some light on why it is stopping. Next time you try it flash the rom, and if it fails, go to advanced > log or something like that. Please post what it says :)

edit: could you please post the rom.zip file size in bytes?

edit2: it should be 333,341,144 bytes

edit3: Please check to see if system is mounted under mounts and storage. If it is mounted, please unmount and try again.
 
Yep. Same number. And the log said...

Set-perm: chown of /system/xbin /busybox to 0 1000 failed no such file or directory.
Also same chown error except it's 755 failed.

V4, WORKED!!!! But doesn't seem to have root. *Edit* Rooted in cwm afer install...

So... How do we go about getting an OC Kernel working perfect on here.. and touch cwm?

Can we use a theme kitchen now? Ninjamorph? Others?

kernel? that's my department. and you'll have it within a day or so, provided it doesn't get borked. :D

Touch cwm, not sure. The online builder doesn't like to work for some reason. I can get a non-touch cwm with the buggy graphics but working internal/external sd, but that's it.

Excellent! Before I upload the root fix, are there any other bloatware apps that should be removed or any that I should put back that you need?

edit: yes, you can play with themes using deodexed roms :)

edit: Do you guys have a stock recovery image? If someone uploads it i can make a stock rom that puts your device back to complete stock. This is helpful when an OTA update comes along and you can't get it because you have cwm or a rooted rom installed.
 
All are working fine. And the application list is good. The original files I gave you have the original stock recovery image. Thanks for all this!
