Need to block wifi on tablet

I'm looking at getting a tablet for someone who is not allowed to have unsupervised access to telephones or the internet.

Obviously, she will need to get new apps (that's the point) but she can do that with supervision. We could take her to a coffee shop once or twice a month and do that.

I have an Evo but have never seen a tablet. If I disable wifi, will that do the trick? If so, how do I do it? Does anyone know of an app that would disable wifi without a password?

If I get that to work, I'd also be interested in getting an offline app list so she could shop between visits to the coffee shop .

To disable wifi you would just go to settings just like you would on the evo. Although I do not know how to make it password coded.

I find it a bit odd you would want this, but its not my place to judge. You can make a master and restricted account if the tablet supports it. And disable the internet app (Ex- Chrome) through the Settings app. After you set up the restricted account set it to only be able to launch certain apps (Ex-The ones you install)

Use applock app. You can lock what you wish .

Also, instead of going to a coffee shop, you could use the wifi hotspot feature on your phone
