I'm an Android noob with a friend's i7 and I use Linux only.
Don't mind command line -- prefer it to GUIs, actually.
Been searching and reading but root apps seem either M$-oriented or not enough info for this noob (i.e. http://androidforums.com/impression-7-all-things-root/493126-rooted-z4root.html#post3883312 made no sense to me).
Have downloaded Super1Click but cannot make use of *.exe files; have jdk-7u7-linux-i586 and android-sdk_r20.0.3-linux tarballs and the z4root.1.3.0.apk files -- what to do with them i am almost clueless due to lack of clarity; downloaded and installed FroyoLiteTux and ran the
command but device could not be enumerated, it says.
One page is under construction and does me no good.

Suggestions?
