Need very, very, simple barcode scanner

I need an application that will 'scan' a barcode with the device camera and 'type' the numbers into an application - like a keyboard.

That's all - the same basic functionality as the cheapest barcode scanner plugged into a laptop.

Is there an application to do this (or a tweak that enables me to do it in a more powerful application) please?

What brand, model and Android version phone do you run, mike?

Most smartphones have a stock Barcode Scanner pre-loaded that does what you ask.

I may get a Wildfire S with 'Gingerbread'/2.3.

Ideally, I would be able to paste, or otherwise insert the data into an active field in a .pdf form.

Is this possible?

Does this one have a light feature? i cant seem to get the flash to turn on for dark scanning.. (QRDroid has an icon on screen to turn on the light)
