Help Need Wireless ADB without USB every reboot nor Root

ilus4

Lurker
I need adb access to my phone.

I am reluctant to root it because I depend on Google Wallet and can't afford to reinstall all my apps or set everything up a second time.

I am okay plugging it into usb of a PC ONE TIME to configure this, but NOT every time I reboot my phone.

How do I get this done?

why do you need wireless adb? what do you mean by "every reboot"? how often are you rebooting your phone? a reboot will not erase data so i'm confused when you say that you have to re-install your apps.

can you explain in more detail what is going on with your phone. and lets start with, what phone you have?

I think they are reluctant to root because that will involve a reset. The issue with rebooting it just the inconvenience of having to enable it using a wired connection every time.

I've never played with wireless ADB, because it doesn't solve any problems for me (i.e. using a cable is fine for my purposes), so can't speak from experience on this problem. If the reason you have to do this again after a reboot is because your IP address changes then look at your router settings and see whether you can assign a fixed address for your phone. Otherwise I don't know a solution, and wouldn't be surprised if there isn't one (i.e. if it was never intended for a permanent connection).

How often do you reboot your phone anyway? I reboot mine once per month when I get a system update, so the inconvenience of plugging into a computer would be negligible for me.
