OP in link says to be on stock unrooted KitKat to use file. If rooted, flash back to stock first.

Flashed backed to stock. Nothing. Still searchin tho.

Since you are back stock, you should be able to update with Kies. If root is important to you,check to see if 5.0 has a working root method first before you update.

5.1.1 that when I flashed to stock it got crossed over.

I have heard on both this site and XDA that Best Buy now has Samsung rep working there that can flash current firmware for you. If one near by maybe worth looking into.
