Needed to replace the EVO--had to return to point of sale for exchange

I took my El T into a Sprint corporate store to get a radio test done, they don't have the software yet. Hmm, ok I explained my symptoms, 3G dropping with good signal then popping right back up, signal just being downright lousy, works sometimes, sometimes it doesn't, etc. I even showed them my OG next to the El T, the OG had 4 to 5 bars, the El T had 1.

Finally they asked me where I picked it up, I told them BestBuy. They then refused to touch the phone after that. Completely ignored my pleads to even try a data refresh. I bought it from a 3rd party, it wasn't their responsibility.

I had to call all over town and find a BestBuy that had any in stock to get them to swap it out. They did swap it out, no questions asked and no receipt.

I still don't know if it was even a hardware failure. :(
