So I looked at your logcat and look what I found?

Sensor name: s5k4e1

Upon further research looks like the HTC Legend also has the same camera hardware! Here is a repo to go poking in as zeubea has CM9 - CM10.1 working on the phone.

Thank you for the links. I've already got the camera working well enough to take pictures but these links are still helpful to me.
