Help please . I tried to apply the fimware update that was released 2 weeks ago . I received a dropbox link from David B . Unrared it /unzipped the folder inside and copied all files ( install etc ) to external sd card . Reboot into recoverymode ( power/volume up ) it starts to update , but after checking signature it fails . Whole file signature veryfication failed .update aborted .
My Neo3do is not rooted . Its the update with the 3d games etc .
Android version 4.0.4
Kernel 3.0.8-g2cddf(or t )b4-dirty
Build number
ICS.g11ref3D.20130614

I'm seeing the same thing on my NEO3DO. I also get the "Whole-file signature verification failed" error. I have sent David an email with a photo attached. I've downloaded all the files twice just to be sure they weren't corrupted.

After emailing David at Neo3do, it became clear the update to Android 4.1.1 must be installed from a MicroSD that is formatted as FAT (not FAT32 or exFAT).

I got a dusty old 512MB MicroSD out of a dusty corner of one of my drawers and used it for the update. Windows wouldn't allow me to create smaller (2GB) partitions on larger MicroSDs or format any larger MicroSDs as FAT.

But using a small microSD worked perfectly. if you have access to Linux you can probably create a 2GB or smaller partition on a larger MicroSD and then format it as FAT/FAT16. That will probably work.
