Root Nervous about rooting/would like some help

Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help me please. I am looking to root my HTC Desire HD and have read loads of how to guides but am still none the wiser. I'm no techie (I'm a train driver or Train Engineer for my American friends) and have no idea what I should be doing and don't want to brick my phone (I underdstand that bit, LOL). Is there somebody on here who could do this remotely for me, I have a paypal account and am willing to pay for this. I am running windows 8.

Rooting can be intimidating for sure, trust me, I went thru the same feelings when I rooted my Evo4G long ago.

Just ask questions if you are not clear on some steps

Mike's pointed you to a great thread, that's helped a lot of people. Although the process isn't a one click, done, affair, it's not so bad. If you need any info, be sure to post here and someone will try to help you out

Thanks for links, but I have already got stuck on bootloader on HTC, wud like someone really to remotely do it for me, not being lazy , just that I haven't got a clue what I'm doing...

Are you at the point of unlocking the bootloader via the HTC Dev. site?

I wouldn't have the slightest idea of how to do it remotely, if even possible, sorry
But the best I can do is try to walk thru the steps with ya
