Net 10 not taking new AT&T accounts?

So my phone is unlocked, and I found out that in certain areas I frequent, T-mobile service (thru Simple Mobile) is non-existant. So I picked up a couple of Net 10 AT&T SIM cards off e-bay and tried porting my number over. Entered the info, came back with a "Serial # not found". According to the BYOP info that came with the SIM card, the serial # you enter is the last 15 digits of the SIM #, not the serial from your phone.

My question is, is Net 10 not accepting new AT&T accounts, or did I get jacked over by the e-bay seller?

the underlined portion of the sim number. its easy to enter incorrectly. if you did i would suspect somethings up with sim or they do not provide service in that area

Well, I don't know if Net 10 is having issues porting numbers over, but I did get service w/o transfering my number. So it's good, except I lost my number. Now to see how Net10 AT&T's service is vs Simple Mobile T-Mobile's service.
