Help net speed and going wireless

I am trying to find out if my internet speed is still impaired after unrooting and applying updates. I am not sure how great this is but I have:

Ping 158ms
1801 kbps
870kbps

I want to make sure it is doing better before I reroot it.

Additionally, I used to use wireless tether, could someone suggest something comparable on the market today?

Discard that, Sprint failed to realize they have had a local area outage since the 19th and a international outage since the 18th.
