Netbook tethering

Been reading about tethering to my android phone (ADP1) and have a few questions if someone could help...

Santa brought my kid a Sylvania netbook for christmas. (128Mb memory with wifi and bluetooth). It runs Windows CE. I have reviewed several tethering apps, but none I've read so far have Windows CE netbook components/drivers. Is there any tethering program to connect the netbook, through my android phone's 3G to the internet?

I also notice tethering often refers to bluetooth or USB connections. Can a phone be wifi connected to a netbook then access the internet? Or does activating wifi cut off the 3G connection?

Finally, I can't watch Netflix on the Android, but if I tether my Windows XP laptop or the Windows CE netbook to the phone, would I be able to watch netflix then? I'm thinking of road trips (assuming we could keep the 3G signal while driving)

How about PDAnet, in the market?

Yes, a phone can be connected to a PC or laptop (so I'm assuming to a NetBook too) over WiFi. E.g. to inspect the phone's files using WiFi File Explorer.
Afaik a phone cannot connect a PC or laptop (or a NetBook) to the internet over WiFi.

I use PDAnet every day to connect my MacBook Pro to the internet over 3G if there is no WiFi 'hotspot' available. The connection between the phone and the PC or laptop (or NetBook) can be either wireless, through 'Bluetooth DUN', or tethered, via USB cable. I have not gotten the wireless 'Bluetooth DUN' connection to work so I always use USB tethering. Not a problem at all as I'm sitting in front of that machine – with my phone lying next to it – to work on it anyway. In fact I consider tethering a security advantage because the data going through my tether cannot be intercepted, while the data going via wireless Bluetooth can!

Yes, although you will probably not have a smooth playback as video requires more bandwidth than 3G provides.

IMO take the Windows CE Netbook back and get a Windows 7 Netbook. they can be had for ~$200 at Walmart. a Windows CE device is a waste of money.

also - check out the EasyTether app.

good luck.
