Help Netflix and FB

Hi all, this is my first post EVER. I just got a GT 10.1 and love it so far. I see a lot of people asking about Netflix app and FB app and typing lag in browser. I hate looking around to see if i can find an answer so i went right to the top. Samsung and netflix themselves. here's what i found out.

Netflix. They are in talks legal talks with the movies being out on the tab. "yea right" but they will expect to have an app as soon as program is written for it and they work out the bugs from the programs and drivers and such. (im just telling you all what they told me)

FB. It's just a fact that FB themselves have to write the app code and send it out. simple. (then get on it! come on people)

typing lag. Just down load Opera from the market and use it as your browser. i heard dolphin is good too but a friend of mine likes Opera better.

Here's the thing though- now don't get me wrong, I really do love this tab. But I have working Netflix and Facebook on my Xoom. Netflix works on the wifi Tab 10.1 too, as far as I can tell, just not the LTE version. That's annoying.

As far as Facebook- just sideload the app. I get that they're probably working on a tablet version, but I don't get why they'd pull the current one out of the market- they used to have it available for tablets (as I said, have it on my Xoom), why not just leave it til the tablet one is out? Why make us go through the trouble of getting it somewhere else? (Yeah, you can just use the webpage, butI like the widget, which requires the app)/

AFA typing lag, while I do have that problem on my Xoom, I actually don't on the tab, in any browser, so that's good at least.

Do you mean on the LTE? Then yeah I agree. But not for the Wifi, it seems. There are tons, pages and pages on forums of wifi 10.1 owners saying that the sideloaded apk, the one that works on my un-rooted Xoom also worked on the tab 10.1 wifi (stock).

I used the second link you posted to get Netflix onto my wifi tab, but it won't connect to Netflix.
 
Yeah I'm wondering if they changed something in the meantime to block it, perhaps.

In any case, I decided to root my LTE tab (keeping everything stock for now, though), and it does indeed work with the transformer hack if you root. So yay! I would assume that'd work for the wifi tabs as well. It was super easy to root, too.
 
I ended up using one of the other links you gave (I think the fourth one) and now it works -without rooting! Thanks for your help!
 
Welp, I've tried every one I could find, none of them work. I have the Verizon LTE 32gb model. I side-loaded the 1.3 version, all I get is the 12001 error. Non-Rooted. Any suggestions?
 
I can get my FB feed through TweetDeck, and I tend to post from TweetDeck anyway, so there is no big deal to me. :)

For the LTE version, you need to root and apply the transformer patch. And by root I literally just mean root, I kept the stock recovery and stock ROM (I dont even think there are any other ROMs out there for LTE yet anyway). It's wicked simple. Try this. Hm. I think I still have the file on my tab where I put it. I can check tonight, if I don't answer by later tonight PM and remind me :) It worked flawlessly for me, and Netflix does as well.
 
Can someone post a link for the fb optimized for tablet app so i can side load it. The mobile version is buggy and it does not work 70% of the time
 
I have not been able to use the Android Facebook app. It hangs on loading newsfeed. Never gets past it. Works OK on my DroidX but not on my Galaxy 10.1 WiFi.
