Help Netflix from phone to laptop

Is there away to play Netfix on my phone (app) and be able to watch it on my laptop? No Wi-Fi in the house. I can tether but the feed isn't that great and it loses connection CONSTANTLY for some reason (a whole other problem). Obviously on Warp Sequent but not sure if that really matters.
 
Does the Sequent have an MHL adaptable micro USB out? I can't find it in the specs.
And, looking up average speeds for Boost 3G, I'm having a hard time seeing Netflix running well. Does it run okay now on your phone?
 
It runs 'ok' on the phone. Haven't actually used it in a while. Only USB output is from the charger cord. Plugs into the laptop USB for media transfer/charge only/pc somethin. Rooted.
 
a 5 pin mhl adapter might be supported, not really sure on that one. if you can get your hands on one you could try it. youd also need a device that supports it on the other end though. it wont send out an actual hdmi signal to my knowledge, it sends out a slightly different kind of signal
 
I tried the hdmi output from my OG EVO 4G when I had that hooked up and it wouldn't work on my TV. As soon as I'd plug it in, the apps actually disappeared. Tried downloading some other program to make it work but nothing succeeded. Ugh, why can't shit just work all nice and easy? *plug in, plug in... BOOM, IT WORKS...... in dreamland*
 
ok, are you trying to plug the htc in or the sequent?

is it a special port seperate from the usb connection on the htc?

and if its the sequent youre trying does the htc itself work when you plug it in to the same screen?
 
Trying to plug the sequent into laptop/tv so I can't watch Netflix from my phone on a bigger screen. When I tried to do it with the HTC, I bought a cord that has a mini hdmi plug that attaches to HTC hdmi output and then plugs into a regular sized hdmi input on the other side. Needless to say, that never worked. Games wouldn't even show on the TV. So now, I try to plug the charger cord into the phone and then USB to the laptop and nothing happens, same with the TV. Don't want to use the tether cuz I constantly get kicked off of that also.
 
try a program called hdmwin on the evo if you want it to work right. and a usb cord isnt gonna transfer a live video stream, theres another type of cord for that stuff if it would even work
 
Tried the hdmWin when I had the evo operating and it didn't work. Think something kept popping up or somethin was keeping it from working. No biggie, evo is disconnected anyways. Will I havta get one of those mhl cords? Obviously there's only one output from the sequent, unless u count the headphone jack too. Lol.
 
yea sorry man, i wish i could help but there isnt alot you can do, my best recommendation would be to get real internet or cancel netflix
 
Yeah, pry the best bet. Or just keep making different email addresses and do the free month each time, lol.
